Bridgit Mendler, 17, recently chatted with Girl2Watch about her self-proclaimed title as prankster on set.

She shared, “I don’t mean to brag, but I’m kind of the resident prankster. On the last day of shooting, I decided that I was going to go prank crazy and do all these crazy pranks to each of the actors. In Bradley’s (Steven Perry) dressing room, I TP’d it. And Eric’s [Allan Kramer] dressing room, I was going to put toothpaste on his door handles, but he showed up there early, so he kind of caught me red handed in that one. But I love doing crazy pranks like that.”

My motto is… be yourself.
I can’t stand it when… people are yes men, so they just say yes to everything and they agree with you.
Very few people know that I… love to nerdy dance.
Hollywood is… a place for people to be themselves.
I’m inspired by… Music.
Success means… being happy with what you have in life.
I get really sad when… there’s not a new episode of The Office on that week.
I want to throw up when… I’ve had too much to eat and then I go on a roller coaster or something.
I’m not very good at… sports.
In showbiz, you have to learn… patience.
In my next life… I want to be a butterfly.
I couldn’t live without my… guitar.

I lived in Washington DC until I was eight, and then I moved to Mill Valley, California. I remember sitting at home, and this was kind of once I started getting into acting, but I hadn’t really made such a huge commitment to it. I remember sitting there and feeling like I was at a crossroads where I could continue and have a completely normal life and go to traditional school and everything or I could decide to go full on and really go for the acting.

And I chose the acting. It’s interesting that it wasn’t one where I was really confronted in a way that I had to make the choice, but it was just something that I came across in my head and I just made it on my own.

I went to traditional high school for the first two years, and it was kind of the traditional high school experience. I missed a lot of school and I always kept up with the work, but it wasn’t really like I was actually attending high school the way that my friends were.

It’s important that you let your family know how this is something that you really care about and you really are aiming to go for. Once my family knew that I was serious, they were very supportive.
